My daughters had never seen snow until we moved to a colder climate and these snow pants did not disappoint. The fit of the pants was spot on, with a little bit of extra room to allow for comfort in the event your child wants to wear pants underneath. The fleece lining on the inside is great and keeps my girls warm through hours of playing outside, with no complaints of dampness getting through. The color is exactly as seen in the photo--great overall product quality for what you pay.

I got the size large pants for my daughter who typically wears a medium 7/8 in leggings. They were pretty baggy on her and I probably should have gotten the medium (even with a thick layer underneath!) but I’m fine with the large since they’ll last for 2 winters! The waist is pretty small, so they didn’t slip down over her hips. Hope the waist still fits next year. I was impressed that they kept the snow and wet off of her, even after being worn for a couple hours outside. They’re great for warmer winters or cold weather hiking. Definitely not thick enough to be a true snow pant, but they’ll work well for us with layers underneath.

My daughter played outside in the snow three days in a row in these and she was warm and dry the entire time each day! Definitely happy with the quality of these!

My son wore these for the first time yesterday in about 30 degrees weather with a little snow. He was playing in the snow and woods for a couple hours and only had a small wet spot on his knee. I was impressed. He also stayed warm. I wouldn't recommend these for sub zero outside as they're thin, but perfect for active kids in mildly cold weather to keep them dry and warm and the wind off.

Subjected these to my usual put a leg under the tap and see how long it takes the direct stream of water to soak thru. Maybe 60 ish seconds. Feels likenit will block a decent amount of wind, but not like top of Mt. Washinton, NH wind. So fine for my town that gets maybe 3 snow falls a year totaling less than a foot a year. Teachers mandate snowpants for recess so I buy "snowpants" and all is well. I wouldn't send her on a hike or sledding in these. Maybe skiing if she were a little better about not falling down in the snow as much. Not suitable for the upper great plains, upper midwest or north eastern US nor any mountain areas with significant snowfall. But like totally fine for us in the other 70% of the USA.

We were traveling to the north and my kids needed something in case it snowed (which it did). I did not want to get anything bulky or that could not be used again in our warm weather. These are light enough to wear on a rainy warm day but also good for the cold because of the materials used. I thought my kids could layer them for warmth, but they actually just used long socks and that’s it. They did not get wet or cold playing in the snow. Because of the fit of the pants you can easily layer them with tights, leggings, or even sweats underneath. The elastic waist is helpful. And they are long, in case your child has long legs.
