These are reasonably good plates for the money. There were a few in the box that were chipped or scratched, but the packaging was adequate enough to mitigate the damage. The results demonstrated that the plates work fine, the fluorescent coating shows up as expected and cell phone photos of the result worked just fine with ImageJ.They are not amazing, or the best thing since sliced bread, but they are likely the best value in TLC plates available on Amazon at the time of this writing. I anticipate buying them again, unless prices change significantly on more recognizable brands.
