This product is specially designed to chelate complex minerals that naturally occur in some water supplies. Minerals, such as iron or manganese, can cause stains and discolored water. Water that has been pre-treated with this product can avoid problems that can arise from the reaction of iron or manganese with subsequent additions of chlorine or shock treatment. This product is concentrated and ready to use. This product will not interfere with chlorine, algaecides, or stabilizers. Add separately and do not mix with other chemicals. When used regularly, this product will help prevent scale build-up and mineral precipitation caused by other chemical additions. Discolored water instructions: Have your dealer determine if the discoloration is due to iron or manganese. If the water contains less than 1 ppm of these materials, add 1-1/2 oz. for each 1,000 gallons of pool water. If the water contains greater than 1 ppm add proportionately greater amounts. Test the pH of the water, after addition, and adjust to 7.2-7.6, as necessary. Recirculate the water to insure uniform distribution. Scale build-up is due to high levels of calcium and other hardness minerals.

I’ve used many products to try to control and prevent algae in my pool. This stuff works the best. Make sure you dilute into a bucket first. Doesn’t take much to do the job. No algae at all this entire swim season.

I rely on GLB sequa sol to help prevent fiberglass pool wall staining. It works pretty well as preventive, it's the only weekly chemical additive I use beyond normal chlorination and algaecide. I've had a pool for 25+ years and have tried a lot of various products/purposes and have whittled what's needed down to sequa sold, chlorine, and algaecide. Less is more.

Sequa-Sol is the only product we use to keep the surfaces of our hot tub clean, and it works like a charm...no need to scrub. We've been using it since we got our spa some ten years ago and the results are excellent, and I don't use that term very often. We add a couple of ounces weekly and that's all...no brushing or scrubbing. We change water (well water, you know) twice yearly and filters annually, but further interior surface cleaning is unnecessary. I like things that actually work.

Used it in conjunction with absorbic acid and the pool looks great. Pool had several dark stains that are no longer showing.

I used to travel to a pool story in a nearby town to buy this exact brand for a lot more money. Pool store closed and I haven't been able to find it until now. Perfect if you fill your pool or spa with well water. Follow the directions for initial fill and maintenance doses.

I was told this stuff works really well. I just poured in one bottle so I will wait a day or 2 to see results. However I came back inside to put away the 2nd bottle and realized it was half empty! I wish I would have noticed this from the beginning and would have returned it all for a refund or new ones. Next time I will just get it at my local store. What a waste!

Fill my pool with well water that contains soluble iron (water is clear until it encounters chlorine then the iron settles out as an orange dust). This product does an excellent job of preventing the iron from precipitating out. Water stays clear using this product after adding well water.
