Ball is for straight throwing. Colors are nice but more of a painting quality picture. You can see the seam on one side. They did put a sticker on the side you drill for proper fit. My son who loves maps really likes it

My son loves the ball. It is his first. We just had it drilled over the weekend, then he used it for the first time. He couldn't be happier and that's what it is all about. It was his birthday present. Best birthday ever.
