- When the M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD is running for a long time, it will generate a lot of heat.
- Since the thermal conductivity of copper is twice that of aluminum, the copper heat pipe can absorb the heat from the M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD more quickly and conduct it to the aluminum heat sink body.
- In order to avoid the gap between the M.2 SSD and the PS5 heat sink (gas gaps can seriously affect the thermal conductivity), it is necessary to place the thermal pad between the M.2 SSD and the PS5 heat sink, the copper heat pipe heat sink can fully contact the M.2 SSD to ensure the thermal conductivity

Installation
- Put the copper standoff into the hole of 2280. Orientation as the picture shown. (Note: this copper standoff acts as a support and keeps the M.2 SSD just level.)
- Tear off the front and rear transparent film of the thermal pad. Then lay it flat on the front of the M.2 SSD. For double-sided chip M.2 SSD, the same steps, put another thermal pad on the back of the M.2 SSD
- Insert the heat sink obliquely into the PS5 slot and fasten it with the long black screw.

It is not designed for PS5 Slim. The heatsink will protrude out a little and push the plastic cover just enough that it won't latch back on. The instruction says not using a screw to secure the NVME drive to the bay, and just rely on heatsink to keep it in. I think it is a bad idea and will lead to poor connection. I would suggest to ignore that and use the original standoff and screw it in. Then use some paper tape to wrap around the two front latch of the PS5 cover to make them thicker, and the cover will loosely stay on. Heatsink itself is well constructed. Wish they make the side a little thinner to fit PS 5 Slim.

Had some trouble getting it to seat properly over SSd till I realized there a small tab at back or ssd slot that has to grab back or Heatsink 🙄 After that everything went smoothly

Used this when I installed additional memory in my PS five. It installed over the memory card just fine and I have not had any heat issues. The heat sink was well-made and does its job as it should.

Just installed this GLOTRENDS brand Heatsink designed for the PS5 with a Western Digital 1TB SN770 M.2 SSD. As a disclaimer, Sony and Western Digital do not recommend this M.2 drive, but for just under $60 including the price of this budget heatsink, I said screw the recommendations. This heatsink installed seamlessly, but I did decide to use the spacer that was included with the PlayStation as opposed to the copper hold included with this heatsink (as shown in the pictures). Only complaint I could have if I’m being picky is I wish there were better different thicknesses of thermal pads included to ensure good contact with the heatsink because M.2 drives can sometimes vary in thickness, I will update with any issues but so far I’m happy.

In the newest iteration of the PS5 slim this doesn't fit without modifying the case. I was annoyed at an unrelated situation and decided to modify it, but I'm ordering a new one and returning this one. Frustrating to buy things specifically listed to work for something but unable to work. Nothing made it fit without physically removing plastic from the shell. Other then that, it felt white cold to the touch, so should work okay. Super easy install. I wish it was thinner on one side. I'm not going to modify it out of principal. Not paying premium heatsink prices for a heatsink that isn't premium

Fits my PS5 Pro, used the standoff that came with the playstation though. Copper pipe and aluminum should keep my ssd cool.

Evo 980 pro model ssd ile kullanıyorum. Max 7000 mb okuma hızına karşın 6500 mb okuma hızı yakalıyorum ps5'de. Bence oldukça iyi bir değer. Paket içinden torna vidadan, spacer'a kadar herşey çıkıyor. Cf1216 modelde ps5'in kendi sabitleme vidasi yerine paket içinde farklı uzunlukta olan vida kullanıyorsunuz aklınızda bulunsun. Fazladan termal yastıklar da pakette bulunuyor. Tavsiye ederim.

My son recently installed a 1TB M2 in his PS5. It came with what they described as a heatsink, but I'd refer to it more of a heat dissipater. It's nothing more than aa oversized aluminum shield that attached to the memory chips. I seen this GLOTRENDS Heatsink and read a few of the reviews. I removed the old heatsink from the M2 and attached the included thermal pad. While some heatsinks attach to the M2, this heatsink actually replaces the PS5 M2 cover shield. The copper pipe touches the M2 and dissipates the heat through the heatsink. It works very well. GLOTRENDS includes everything you'll need and for the price, I highly recommend this heatsink above others.

I got this heat sink after SSD prices started to tank about six months ago and I decided I didn’t want to melt my brand new PS5, so I tried this out. I’m not sure how to measure it other than so far it hasn’t overheated and I don’t even hear the fan. So I would say it’s probably working great, especially for the money. I’d get it and you will not be disappointed
