These are not side gear shims. Side gear shims go between the side gear and the case the inside of the carrier. Title is misleading

Allowed easy set up of pinion backlash, a lot of different thicknesses so you can adjust it perfectly. Thin film of oil over everything so no worries about rust or corrosion causing irregularity in thickness.
