Your typeface changes depending on the angle of view and paper used. A metallic shine in shades such as copper, gold or pink lays over the base colour of the ink, creating a visual symphony of colours.
The sheen effect depends on your chosen paper and writing instrument, and you will experience different sheen effect thicknesses. The fascinating effect unfolds best on smooth, non-absorbent paper. Wherever your writing instrument emits plenty of ink, the luminous metallic sheen is created.
To enjoy the sheen effect in all its glory, we recommend high-quality, non-absorbent writing paper and fountain pen with generous ink flow and a wide nib. The effect is particularly clear when writing with a glass nib or calligraphy fountain pen or use a refillable brush pen. To show only the base colour without sheen, use absorbent paper.
The inks are water-soluble and dry slightly slower than conventional inks due to their composition. Only vegan ingredients are used in the production of Sheen inks.

If you are looking for super sheening inks, you need look no further than Octopus Fluids! This one is a very dark forest green with a deep purple sheen that's almost black. The sheen is very obvious on fountain pen paper like Tomoe River. Goblin has really nice flow for an ink with such heavy sheen. I loaded it into my Pilot Heritage 912 with the FA (Falcon) nib and it really made me fall in love with the pen all over again.This shipped via USPS and the tracking never updated when it was delivered (ahead of schedule) , so check your mail box frequently.

Amoureuse des encres pour stylo plume, appréciant les encres avec du sheen, obligé de me procurer un flacon d'une de ces encres de la nouvelle série de Octopus.Pour changer un peu des classiques, j'ai donc opté pour la Goblin, qui est vendue comme étant une encre verte avec sheen violet. Plus qu'à vérifier ça !On a donc une belle encre d'un vert émeraude en base. Une très jolie couleur, assez foncée en écriture, allant du vert émeraude au vert très très foncé, laissant place à un shading assez intéressant.Et en ce qui concerne le sheen violet, l'objet de ma curiosité... je m'attendais à une encre de type "monster sheener" mais non. Juste une encre avec du sheen standard, ce qui est tout aussi bien. Ça limite d'autant les risques d'accidents en effleurant le papier. Le sheen est donc présent, oscillant selon la luminosité entre le violet tirant sur le bleu et le bleu nuit profond, allant parfois timidement sur des reflets rougeâtres en fonction de l'angle. Ce n'est pas tout à fait à cette couleur que je m'attendais, mais ça reste dans l'esprit !Note : le sheen est une propriété qui requiert des conditions optimales pour pouvoir se manifester. L'encre ne doit pas être absorbée par le papier, qu'il y ait beaucoup d'encre sur le papier, et doit sécher très lentement afin que sa surface se pare de cette fine couche aux reflets métalliques. Ainsi, si vous n'arrivez pas à le révéler, essayez de changer de papier pour un moins absorbant et / ou prenez un stylo qui a un débit plus important.Note 2 : les photos ne lui rendent pas justice, mais le sheen est une propriété qui peut s'avérer complexe à photographier...

Ich habe schon einige Tinten mit Sheen von Diamine und anderen Marken verwendet und wusste daher, dass dieser Effekt stark von Feder und Papier abhängt. Bei der Tinte von Octopus allerdings habe ich einen Effekt, den ich noch nie erlebt habe. Auf gewöhnlichem Papier wirkt die Tinte einfach nur Dunkelgrün ohne den geringsten Sheen. Auf sehr glattem Papier wie Tomoe River dagegen sehe ich ausschließlich den Sheen, d.h. die Tinte wirkt Dunkelviolett und zeigt keine Spur von Grün mehr. Sicher spielt hier mein sehr nass schreibender Füller eine Rolle. Mir gefällt‘s auf jeden Fall und ich möchte noch weitere Farben der Serie ausprobieren.

Very well behaved ink, no problems at all. The sheen really only shows up using very wet nibs

I love this ink! The base colour is beautiful and the sheen just adds to it!To see the sheen at its best, the ink needs to go down heavily and on a good fountain pen paper (I used a life notebook and a hobonichi notebook) . It also needs to dry naturally, no blotting!Will definitely get more of these
