This Godfrey rowing machine seat cushion is intended specifically for the Concept 2 Rowing Machine, but works on my generic rowing machine just fine. It's a Neoprene pad that adds a bit of cushioning to your existing seat, and increases your comfort. At first I was hesitant because of the pelvic bone holes, but you don't notice them in use, and they seem to provide some relief. Anything that makes my butt more comfortable is a good thing. Unfortunately I'm having to give up rowing because it's pretty hard on my back.

This pad works well and is comfortable. It fits well on the rower and supports my rear end well. THe buikd quality seems high. This has really helped me stay comfortable during my workout. Thank you.

I have been using a much thicker seat cushion on my Concept 2 rowing machine for over a year now. I saw this rowing seat on the Amazon Vine program and decided to order it and give it a try. While it feels comfortable to the hand, it didn't offer as much seat comfort as I had hoped. I will say that despite being 1/2 as thick as the cushion I was using, it is almost as comfortable. Truthfully neither of the cushions offer excellent comfort , but better than the composite plastic seat the Concept 2 comes with.

I honestly prefer my thinner gel seat cover over this pad, but for the price this seat pad is not a bad option. It's a little awkward to get used to at first if you've been using the erg without any pad, but pretty quickly becomes unnoticeable. I didn't notice the slip issue that a few other reviews metioned, but it does feel like I'm sitting slightly differently as I push off with my feet. In the end I've gone back to erging without a pad, but I still think this one is fine overall.

We have an older rowing machine that we use quite often, but we've resorted to sitting on a couple of towels to make the seat more comfortable. I had even started using the pad I stole off my wife's office chair until she repossessed it! Enter the Godfrey Rowing Machine seat cushion. It's a similar size and shape to our rowing seat, and has the nifty cutouts for your hip bones. It's a great addition to the existing seat padding without going overboard. It also has a slightly tacky surface, which keeps it from slipping like those pesky towels I was using! Great little product.

Since my teenage years (I am now in my mid 60’s) I have suffered with ‘noassatall’ disease. I have always had issues finding pants that do not bag and sag because there just isn’t enough of me to fill them. This has also made sitting on hard surfaces for any period of time very uncomfortable. This transfers to a lot of gym equipment (rowing erg, stationary bike, and other weight machines) as well. I have to either suffer through a session to its conclusion or stop my workout routine earlier than I would like.I was excited when I found this cushion and anxious to try it. I have now used it for rowing and stationary bike and it truly makes a big difference for me. I find that it stays in place well with no sliding around. It appears to be made of durable material that will hold up well over time and it enables me to finish a routine on these machines. It is not a thick cushion. After initially sitting on it, you forget it is there, but it gives me enough padding to get through a workout without distress.

Does not stay in place - slides around when rowing. Holes for pelvic bones are spaced too narrow - my bones landed to the left and the right of the holes. Hard to believe, but this thing is more uncomfortable than the stock Concept 2 seat.

A well made cushion. It is made from quite soft material and stays in position throughout rowing. Being very comfortable to sit on.This seat cushion fits my Bluefin Fitness Blade Air Rowing Machine. The seat is already well cushioned and this cushion does actually add an improvement to the experience. It is fairly compact and lightweight. Making it easy to put in a gym bag and take with to a gym to use on their Concept 2 rowing machines or other rowing machines for increased comfort. Otherwise to add comfort to a suitable home owned rowing machine, which is what I mainly use it for.A thicker version may be a good idea for heavier individuals or those wanting additional cushioning. Some individuals may prefer a thinner option too.I do think the price of £29.99 at the time of review is on the high side. Certainly fitness equipment can drastically vary in price and although some other alternatives are similarly priced; if I wasn't aware how much this was, I probably would have said it costs about £15, to £20 at a stretch. The value for money really depends on its longevity. It should be a product which lasts and retains its properties well through lots of regular use.

I have a Concept 2 Rowing Machine which I use regularly to try and keep fit. I rowed as a youth with a small measure of success. In fact I also have a pad the same shape as this one but it's a denser, harder foam and I prefer this one because it's thicker and softer which is better for my bony backside and sciatica!

Great quality product that is made well and looks like it will last the test of time. Testament to the build quality at Godfrey. It’s great for ensuring my posture is good and does not slack, but the main thing is it is great for releasing any pressure points on the glutes flowing to the legs / back. Which ensures good blood flow, and makes a noticeable difference on long training sessions. Would recommend to any serious trainer / rower.
