The way it’s designed drastically limits the angle of tilt you can get. Otherwise it’s a pretty great product.

I love this modifier for location portraits. I've easily purchased 10 of them over the years (more info on that below). It is my "go-to" for location portraits.I grab this modifer for 2 main reasons. The size/shape is really nice for photographing individuals and couples. It provides a really nice, soft, yet directional, light. Smaller sizes would produce too harsh light fall off and a larger size is too big for location work. The second reason is that it is an enclosed light source. I stick my flash (usually the AD200 on an S-bracket) inside of this. The modifier protects the light from both weather and falls. A little rain? No problem, the light stays dry. Wind knock your light down? The umbrella pads the fall, keeping your light unharmed. This is the reason I've purchased over 10 of these. I'd much rather break a $40 modifier than a $400 light.I prefer to use this with an S-bracket and have an assistant hold it with a boom pole. (Tip: get a fishing belt for your assistant - it takes all the weight away). It works wonderfully.
