I liked the design, but the dish was too small for my liking. Worse than that, though, was the odd mounting bracket on the back. Everything I have has a Bowens mount on it. This dish just has some smaller tube with notches in it.As far as I could tell, none of my flash units or strobes would even fit past the mounting tube. I'm assuming it's designed for some type of light bulb that screws into a simple lamp socket.Didn't help me out in any way, so I couldn't test it as a light modifier.

The size of the beauty dish is a perfect companion for someone who is solo with taking pictures. It fits my ad200 perfectly And gives me just enough diffuse light to still allow me to edit and it not be harsh. The added weight versus having a soft box is great for days. If there's a breeze. It will likely not fall like a umbrella or softbox.I added the beauty dish to my setup and I have been pleasantly surprised and it is great value for money. Build quality is nice and it is easy to set up.

Are use this beauty dish as soon as I got it and honestly it did not disappoint. I took some more wonderful pictures with it after making a couple of adjustments on the camera. The pictures were absolutely dynamite. The only thing you have to be careful of is make sure not to be dropping it or have anything heavy around it because you can bend a little easy.

The Godox dish is awesome for what it is designed to do. It came in a flimsy box and the honeycomb was bent. I bent it back into shape as I figured a replacement would be the same or worse. It seems to work fine. The dish attaches correctly to the AD 200 and gives a nice lighting effect. Worth the money but I would like to see a better box from Godox or better care from Amazon.

This is a pretty cool attachment for the Godox AD200, but I still yet to have to really test it out in a formal shoot situation. Like all the other purchasers, mine also arrived with a slight dent. The dent was at where the locking collar meets the shell of the beauty dish. I was easily able to fix this by pulling and straightening out the collar. For what it is I feel it's of a good value and should by a nice addition to the accessories I already have for the AD200. The freebie gloves are super small...

Still need to try it with photography. The big advantage I see so far is that its really light. The bulb mount is the lightest solution and I believe it will be truly portable.The honeycomb cover feels a bit rough but I can't imagine how they would have done it otherwise.

Superbly designed for the new Godox flashes. If you want to add a smallish beauty dish to your kit but not break the bank, this is it!!!This isn't a 24" beauty dish!! Don't expect it to be. But it doesn't cost $200 either!!Small size makes it much better for location work. Design (size, depth, shape) work beautifully.This thing is a STEAL for the price!!! Might as well get two!!

This is my first time using a beauty dish, so I don't have anything other than soft/octa boxes to compare it too. I had a studio shoot and used the grid. Was really happy with the results and looking forward to testing it out some more. Quality wise it feels decent - it's fairly light weight But I cant imagine anything on it breaking any time soon.

Good value for creating a narrower, more focussed/harder edged light. I would love it if the neck mount to dish join was more firmly reinforced, as this is the vulnerable area prone to bending/cracking under stress, so just watch for that.

I'm a wedding photographer with a Godox ad360 setup for flash. I use this beauty dish with and without the diffuser sock for the formal portraits (I attached a recent example that I used this beauty dish with).It's easy to install and quick removal for switching out for other diffusers and way easier to manage on the go verses a large octobox or softbox (and sturdier than an umbrella).A must have for any professional!

Decided to try the Godox AD-S3, 12" Beauty Dish with my Flashpoint eVolv 200 pocket flash on a whim to see if it would be a practical modifier to lighten up my travel kit for location shoots rather than packing a pair of 600ws monolights and Bowens mount octaboxes. Because this beauty dish mounts directly to the Godox AD 200 (Flashpoint eVOLV 200), the complete set up (including the AD 200 or Wistro 360) can be mounted directly on a light stand, or a mono pole without the need for the S Type bracket (Speedlight clamp with built in Bowens adapter). This definitely lightens up the load over using the S type bracket with a Bowens modifier; which is extremely convenient to my assistant, normally supporting the weight of a 600ws monolight with a 36" Octabox on the end of a mono pole. Catch lights produced in the eyes are nice and the light is sharp and produces specular highlights. If a softer light is desired, the kit comes with a diffuser sock that fits over the beauty dish. Using the grid appears to reduce the light to about a 30 degree cone allowing exact and precise direction of the light. The beauty dish is small at only 12" in diameter, but nicely fills a niche when you can get by without an 18" to 22" beauty dish. I've used it on new born shoots, pet sessions and children. I have yet to test it outdoors at at an event shoot, but am looking forward to! If you own the Godox AD 200/Flashpoint eVOLV 200 or the Godox Wistro 360, the Godox AD-S3 and the Godox AD-S7 mini octabox are must have modifiers.

I like this beauty dish. I only had one issue with it, and that was packaging. Let me explain, when i got it delivered there was literally no other protection other than the original product box itself. When i opened the box the rear mount was bent out of shape, again because of the poorly packaging. With that being said, I do love me a beauty dish thought. This one is made from aluminum which is pretty light, it comes with a grid and front deffuser as well as gloves to clean the inside of the dish or replace the bulb of you flash. Great buy!
