Huge improvement over the older model. The user interface is now easy and quick.

I had the X1T version for years and one day the hot shoe mount broke off. I bought the X2T and I absolutely love it. It’s better in every way. Super easy to set up and use. More features and oh yeah, you can set it up and control your lights with the Godox app! I’m using it on my Sony a7RIV. If you want a controller that lets you mount a light on the camera this is definitely the one you want.

I purchased two if these triggers and two Godox TT685S flashes. My wife and I share these, we each have a trigger on different channels, but when either of us wants to use two flashes it is so easy to change the channel on one flash and control them both! The flash output power can be controlled easily from the trigger and, if the flashes are placed in different groups (again quite simple), they can each have a different power setting. This trigger is light enough to leave on the camera (especially compared to the flash which is quite heavy). The trigger controls all the flash functions I need and it does it so easily. You can control a lot more than two flashes with it too! I plan to pick up two more flashes in the future!

On balance, this trigger has a nice build quality, and is very functional... The group buttons along with the wheel make it very easy to adjust the flash power on the fly... It provides a high speed sych option for my Sony A6400 and a compatible Godox/Flashpoint monolight or speedlight... However the hotfoot is very flimsy and appears at risk of breaking in the hotshoe, if it encountered a significant bump while attached to the camera, so be aware of this potential, and you'll likely be pleased with its function.

I bought this trigger for my Sony A6400 for off-camera high speed synch portrait photography. It works very well. The direct access to the lighting groups via tactile buttons (A through E) works much more efficiently than having to navigate through a menu system. I use it to trigger my Godox TT600S flash and surprisingly also my TT600 flash for intended for my Nikon Z6. For the Nikon, I use an X2TN which can trigger the TT600S. I also have a Canon 80D which will eventually get an X2TC. So all my various X2T triggers for all my camera can trigger all my various TT600 flashes and my future Godox AD200pro and future AD400 professional flashes as soon as I am able to afford those equipment. I am happy to use Godox equipment for my future photography business and YouTube channel...stay tuned.

The only complaint really with any Godox product is it’s durability. As far as functionality it’s great and reliable, but you have to be very cautious about using it in live event settings.
