I have to admit this is kind of an unfair rating because they work great but not with the two flashes that I have, in TTL mode. The 580 EXII and the 430 EXII will work with this transmitter, but will not change exposure output in TTL mode. I am writing this review to let others know this transmitter does not work with older canon flashes in TTL mode.This is the second version of this transmitter. The original GoDox Pro transmitter works with the older canon flashes and their receivers. It's important if you have older flashes to purchase a receiver, dedicated for that brand of flash.One last thought about the GoDox brand and that is the China based customer support is non existent. Do not expect good or any customer support with these products. I learned after purchasing that the warranty and return policy is left up to each individual distributor after the 30 day Amazon return window has passed.There are many distributors of GoDox products on Amazon and other retailers. I have been a 10 year Amazon prime member and I love Amazon prime. However, I would consider purchasing the Flashpoint brand which is essentially the same thing from Adorama in New York. If you want customer support, they will provide it.

I have several Godox products and they are all of superb quality and priced attractively. I have this trigger transmitter in the first iteration and it still works flawlessly. I was anxious to upgrade this second generation for the new and improved controls. Of prime interest is the bluetooth capability that allows me to test and retest my flash level from the lighting position and not requiring me to travel back and forth to the camera. This is a must have for you Godox users and if you are not yet using Godox equipment, get with it!

After mapping my NEEWER Q3 200Ws 2.4G TTL Flash to this trigger transmitter, it worked to seamlessly.The smartphone Bluetooth app also comes in very handy and allows you easy access to the menu of the transmitter.The quick release shoe mount works very smoothly and securely. The transmitter is surprisingly light so it won't weigh your camera down very much.This is definitely an advanced transmitter with many more features than I can cover, but just the limited time I've spent with this unit, I would highly recommend it for more even lighting on your camera subjects.

This is a pretty significant upgrade to the very reliable X Pro transmitters that I've owned and trusted for about 3 years now. This is the first of the Pro II version, and it contains several significant upgrades over the original versions. The most significant is the "Modeling Light Control", which now allows you to set them at 50% , 100%, or to whatever is manually set on the light's level adjustment, or off by their group, all remotely controlled at the transmitter. This is the first version II that I have, but I already have three of the version 1. I like this enough to be thinking about replacing them all with the version II.

So glad it comes with Bluetooth now. That was my biggest complaint for the last one. The batteries last for what seems to be forever

This trigger rocks. I purchase every new trigger Godox has in the X-Pro series, and they've made some fantastic improvements.If you have the X-Pro I, the main difference is the easier to use lock and the bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth is actually quite handy if you have different recipes you want to use. The lock is a nice touch vs the older screw types. I probably wouldn't upgrade from the I to the II for just those features, but I do enjoy them.However, if you have ANY of the older ones, the update is well worth it. I really enjoy the group button placements. It makes it crazy easy to quickly adjust your settings on the fly.I'm happy with this trigger!

Other reviews will be more informative because I am an amateur photographer. However, I am pleased to have this wireless flash transmitter to step up my photography skills. I usually like to shoot in natural light because it is easier to move myself than move equipment. Godox is a brand I see in expensive camera stores with lots of kit I can't afford. This is going to assist me in learning about lighting and timing flash. I really look forward to improving how I compose photos. This review lacks information about its performance because I don't have a lot of practice or the ability to compare and contrast with other models. That said, the instruction book illuminates all of its functionality. Other than the actual camera, this is the most flashy piece of equipment I have (pun intended).
