These gold plated tapestry needles glide smoothly through aida cloth and size 28 is perfect for 18 count fabric. Tricky to thread without a threader, but I love a challenge! Highly recommended.

I was trying to add seed beads to a cross stitch and this was the perfect size for going through the beads and strong enough to go through the cross stitch. The gold on the needle helped me to remember I had the right one!

These needles slip through my 32 count linen with ease. They are a bit on the pricey side but well worth it in my estimation.

Wanted size 28 gold plated needles, and tried out several brands, which all tested out about the same, so depending on what size you need choose accordingly. I love the 28's for 18 count aid projects, as they are short fine needles and work the ends under and go through the holes easily. They are not the easiest to thread, I suggest one ply through the eye and fold it over to get 2 ply.

Nice needles for cross stitch but if I'd known these would snap in half for being so thin and fragile I would have purchased a size 24. The first time I used one it immediately broke. My DMC gold tapestry needles that are the same size are so much stronger and I've never broken one of those although I have bent a few.
