This is a very cute dress, but the proportions for it were off for me. I had originally ordered a size XL and it fit very nicely from the waist down, but the top of the dress was way too tight. I returned it and ordered the 2X. It fit from the wasit down with a little extra stretch, but the top was too big and gaped open. Other than that, it seemed to be very well made and sturdy. It was cute with a petticoat underneath, but I couldn't make it work with the top because of the gaping. The red was a beautiful color and just as pictured. I may order again in the future if I have more time to have the top altered before an event. Great value for the price!!

We were very surprised at how beautifully made this dress is. My niece plans to wear it for her senior class portraits. It fit her like it was tailored to her measurements. The fabric is very nice. Highly recommend this dress.

i got this dress for a rehearsal dinner and it was amazing! i typically would have gotten and XS but reviews had told me to size up so i did just that but really didn't need to. but it comes with a matching sash which makes it easy to make it fit well :)

Looks exactly as pictured im 5'6 174 # i order a xl i normal wear a 14 dress fits really nice definitely no stretch so make sure you read reviews lager breasted women might want to size up im a 38c and its a lil snug

Ordered this dress in a large (my regular size) and it didn’t fit. I would highly recommend ordering one size larger than your regular size as the fabric of this dress is very stiff with absolutely no give in it. Pretty dress but not for me.

Ordered a 3x to be safe. I normaly wear a 18 or XL. It was still too small. It fits more like a tight size16 or Large. The material and construction is stiff so there is no give or stretch in the dress. Please use caution when selecting your size.

Love this dress! I've bought this in a couple colors, as it's such a fun, vintage-inspired style. I wore the red/white plaid for July 4th and got loads of compliments : ) The pockets are a definite bonus, too! The cotton material is a nice weight, neither too heavy or too sheer/flimsy. Very comfortable on a mid 80s day-felt like the dress "breathed" and didn't wrinkle. I could see this working as a fun casual dress for a picnic, as well as styled more glam/ rockabilly with a big crinoline. It is a bit low cut but how this falls will depend a lot on your body type. I have broad shoulders and am taller, with a d-cup bust and I don't find it awkward or revealing or like it gaps open when I lean forward. If you have a smaller frame and/or larger bust, this might be an issue, though. A cami or cute cardigan could maybe help. I wear mine with a belt, so that keeps everything a bit more in place than the fabric sash it comes with, LOL! Or, if you sew, adding some pretty ribbon or lace trim to the neckline or taking in the dress slightly might be a fairly easy fix. The sash could also probably be re-purposed to fill-in a too deep neckline- sorry, my inner theatre kid is starting to get out of control now with wardrobe ideas, LOL! Actually, I do think adding trim to the neckline might be a cool way to personalize this or dress-up one of the more basic sold colors! Bottom line, the dress is great for the price and has so much styling potential : )!As others have noted it really doesn't have any stretch, but I found the dress true to the merchant's posted size chart measurements. Do be aware this is an Asian brand sized dress, so a 2X in this dress will be more like a US 14 or 16, not a US plus-size 2X. If in doubt or between sizes, I'd go up.Definitely would recommend- it really looks like a more expensive piece, like a pricey retro boutique dress, and is versatile and well made. Hope to see more colors/patterns available in this style!
