Saved some money by installing weathervane myself. Took 40 minutes to install everything. This mount seem to be solid, and comes with good quality screws.

I installed on a round cone turret roof. I had to bend the support bars open, but made it work and feels very secure for our new weather vane.

Used it to mount a weathervane on a coupla. I tried to use some other mounting hardware at first but struck out. I was about to fabricate my own bracket when I saw this and decided to order it. Super happy I did as it saved me hours of effort.

The cheap junk bracket that came wit the expensive weather vane ... yeah, that one. The "universal" mount that couldn't keep a straw on the roof? Well, I suspected as much when I ordered the somewhat expensive weather vane, and ordered this mount so they would arrive at the same time. True to form the mount that came with the weather vane was in fact junk, as were the jewelry screws that were supposed to keep it on the roof. This mount bolted down and is strong enough to swing from, so there was a lot of aggravation avoided. Do yourself a favor and get this one.

OK mount but I found it to be a little on the questionable side in regards to its strength. I liked the 4 leg mount due to our weathervane going on a 4 sided roof peak. Given the possible weather and size of the "bird"/weathervane I chose to weld and modify to ensure proper strength and long term use.

It's great, we got the 12' x 16' sunshade and its fits so well in our sunny courtyard giving us the shade we need but still with lots of filtered sunlight. It was simple to install and probably maintence free. We are very happy with our purchase.
