ILD / Compression Rating Explanation

This product has a compression rating of 44 lbs.

Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress the piece of foam by 1 inch in a 7x7 inch area.

For example, if you put 44 lbs in a 7x7 inch area, the foam will compress 1 inch.

Density Explanation

Many mistakenly take high density foams as firmer foams but that is not the case. A foam that is 44 ILD in a medium and high density will feel the same.

Density is the lifespan of the foam, the higher the density the more material is used to make the foam hence making it last longer.

****Disclaimers****

Many advertise their 1.8 density foam as high density which is false advertisement. When looking at foam products you should look at the ILD / Compression Rating ( Firmness and Softness ) of the foam and Density ( Lifespan / Durability ) of the foam.

Sunlight will turn this unit from white to yellow, if you do not want a color change on your unit we suggest keeping it away from direct sunlight.

Good thickness, added great/extra support to my sofa cushions, great price compared to local stores and arrived quickly. I also purchased the spray glue for better attachment. Overall very pleased with this purchase and highly recommended.

I actually got this to pack miniatures with. It is easy to cut to size, great cost per foot, and is great for packing with, storing breakables, etc. Cheaper than other options and works just as good.

Loved this product for topping up existing chair pads. It cut with scissors pretty smoothly, and is very dense, yet soft on the butt.

Cut up to size of my seat cushions and used as a “plump up” in addition to original seat cushion in sectional casual sunroom couch. Stuffed the pieces in each cushion and now one doesn’t “bottom out” like with original stuffing. More comfortable, more support and a great “rescue” for flattening of manufacturers stuffing. Easy to do! Everyone is happy!

I think it fine, works for me, I used it to add padding to my rifle cases so, rifles would not move around, in case. Because they need just that little bit more.
