These socks are great and they do not squeeze too hard although I do not suffer from edema so this may not be the case for everyone. I’m a knitter and these socks are not quite as good as socks I would knit with yarn that has a higher alpaca content, they are of a pretty solid quality and I would buy more for myself because thy are keeping my feet warm and dry.

Probably good if you have thick ankles and wide feet. I have small feet and these fit in the length after drying but are loose side to side with about 1" excess fabric in the middle and 1.5" excess in the toe area. Can't wear them with shoes because of the bulkiness. I sleep with them. They keep me warm, even some sweating and then my feet get cold from the dampness. I consider them soft, but not like cashmere.

If you’re looking to reduce wearing petroleum products on your body and start going to old fashioned way then you’ve come to the right place. They remind me of a pair of homemade quality socks, the kind that your grandma might sew together with some good styles to choose from. The wool/ alpaca blend does great at keeping out moisture and keeps your feet at the perfect temperature. But for temps below 32 F you’ll need to add another layer of socks to stay warm.

For all the different materials out there these days, you can't go wrong with wool to keep you warm. I was thinking since it was made with alpaca and merino they would be soft but the socks feels wooly to the touch. Once on the feet they are more than comfortable. They fit nicely. (Women's size small and I wear an 7.5) I like that they are pre-shrunk. I didn't see washing instructions on the packaging but would wash them in cold water either by hand or in the delicate cycle and lay flat to dry.Can't say how warm they are with my boots; it hasn't stayed cold enough, yet!

I love these! They are very comfortable and fit as described. They are very durable when being worn repetitively. They keep your feet very warm if you are walking. The only downfall is if you’re sitting for a while, your feet will get chilly.
