Canine heart model and lungs infested with heartworms (dirofilaria immitis). Cut-away view demonstrates structures in the heart (right ventricle, pulmonary trunk, pulmonary arteries, and lungs) where adult-stage heartworms are normally found.
Canine Jaw Model
Canine jaw model of average size depicts healthy teeth on the right side and diseased and damaged teeth on the left. Featured pathologies: fractured canine, periodontal disease, tartar accumulation, plaque, gingivitis, worn incisors, retained deciduous tooth, missing premolar and (canine) gingival recession. Jaws open, close and separate for closer study.

Needed this 3-D model to have a better understanding of a dog's CCL. After studying nicely done hand outs from our vet, things were still not clear enough, so we were hopeful seeing and studying an actual model would add more clarity and help in understanding the pending TPLO surgery for our dog. The model is nicely done. We were just more hopeful that it would have been possible to pull the model apart some and actually see and touch the various ligaments so as to better our understanding and eventual repair because of a torn Cranial Cruciate Ligament. Unfortunately, on this model, all that is deep inside and still a bit difficult to study carefully. That said, we are glad we ordered the model and it did serve the purpose of understanding the dog's knee anatomy and helped in learning of the injury and repair process.
