Having granny wheels in the past.this one seems cheaper quality than they used to be. I'll use it for now,but will most likely upgrade eventually.

The steering wheel is just what I need to complete my steering system upgrade. I have been restoring my 1979 F-150 and the last part of the steering system to be touched was the column. I needed to replace the upper and lower bearings plus the turn signal switch. Decided while I was at it I would replace the factory wheel. The wheel itself installed easy, the 3249 adapter kit was purchased with this wheel. There were some issues with that, but I'll save that for when I review the adapter kit. This wheel is lighter in color than the image on Amazon as other reviews indicated and the rivets are not black like the image on Amazon. It didn't arrive unfinished as some other reviewers mentioned. Just to be clear it is actual wood and could stain if handled it with greasy hands, especially as the finish wears, but it's wood so that is understandable. Not something that I would remove a star or stars for.

Purchased this product for my 94 GMC and glad I did! Good looks, style and quality make this a valued addition. Well made and install was a breeze ( don't forget the adapter kit). Highly recommended.

I really can't wait to install it on my project car. Checked it out and it looks real good. I like wood wheels as they absorb the perspiration from you hands and wood feels solid.

I considered trying to return the item for a exchange due to a small crack in the wood surrounding the steering wheel, but it looks good and very easy to install, I would recommend purchasing and item like this in person so you can check for cracks in the wood sections.

The rivets are not black, they are silver, the wood is a little lighter than pictured. Overall good quality for the price. I stained mine so the wood grain looks darker and used a paint marker to make the rivets appear black. It turned out nice and fits my 67 cougar pretty well. Overall satisfied. Also the installation was easy.
