I installed a set on a old LP and they are awesome! No matter the string its the same amount to adjust the notes. Really helpful. I can drop D instinctively now.

I bought these based on a rep from the manufacturer telling me they would DEFINITELY help to keep me in tune as I tune down to A standard. They keep me in tune no better than the original tuning machines. The other thing that annoys me to no end is the amount of play I can feel in a couple of the machines. For $150, these should be AMAZING, but sadly, they’re more just meh.

If you don't mind much taking of the original Gibson classic tuners and care more for tunning stability and looks those are killers!.

First off, these tuners really are great, once they're installed that is. They are definatly not a bolt in swap for an Epiphone ES 335 Pro. One thing to watch out for that seems to be MENTIONED NO WHERE, is use extreme caution when tapping the tuner ferrels out of the headstock. If they were installed while the finish was still soft they will blow very! Large chips out of the front of your headstock ! Hours of refinishing work fixing that issue. The epiphone ferrels are not screw in either, they're push in so dont think you'll just use the ones already there. Nope. Also you are going to have to enlarge the holes a fair amount because the Graph tec ferrels are considerably larger than Epi's. Otherwise, if your luther's skills are sharp the install isn't impossible, unless you dont cut the finish from around the stock ferrels that is... that done with no troubles it's a 3.5 out of 5 in difficulty. Blow out the finish makes it a solid 8 out of 5 stars difficulty. If you're not cock sure of your skills, have a pro handle the swap. That way if the job goes bad it isnt on you. After using them daily for a couple months now I feel they're the same as day one. Precision made tuners. Because of the gearing ratios I feel, the best tuners out there. Yes, you still have to manually clip the string ends but tuning , any tuning is a breeze. I've had zero string breakage issues, the locks hold very well and my guitar will stay in tune through a solid hour of blues bands. Even then only the most abused of the strings need a tune up & having all strings rotation the same is fantastic. One twist down & your tuned to drop D. One twist back & you're back to STDs. Tuning. I totally dig it.
