These are supposed to be able to adjust the grind and they do not. Neither one. I am greatly disappointed. I might as well just throw chunks of salt and pepper on my food Not a good choice if you'd like a finer grind. Choose cuisinart instead.

for someone who's used to small salt and pepper shakers, I found them oddly large at first. But they have now found a permanent home alongside my stove, and everyone returns them there, I think their size has something to do with that. I've got them at the finest grind and couldn't be happier with them. They don't start grinding until you tip them over, comes out fast yet slow enough to control how much you're using. Easy to fill, and clean. Stainless look Very attractive next to my stainless stove. I will be buying a set for each daughter. Love fresh ground pepper.

Since I bought these I have been happy.. grind good and light up a bit so you can see what's being released.. fresh grounded tastes best👌

I really like these but the design could be better. Residue is always left around the top and of course you can’t turn it upside down to get it off.
