Absolutely no background hiss, even when turned up with no input signal. Excellent granular control of your sound, subwoofer control handy to use.

For the price this little EQ can't be beat. I had not heard of or used this brand before, but it works really well. Each band shapes the sound a lot. You can hear big differences with just minor adjustments. Of course it's going to matter what other components are being used as well. I am using a four channel amplifier running out to Cerwin Vega 6x8 speakers, so clearly the EQ signal is getting amplified, making the controls more touch sensitive. I almost don't even need a subwoofer because it sounds so good.I'm sure this EQ will sound good in a stock setup, but why would anyone want to do that? If you are wanting quality sound, you need to upgrade your components all around.This goes to show that you don't have to spend a ton of money to get a good sounding system (all of my components are budget friendly, even the Cerwin Vega speakers and sub).I can't speak for longevity or reliability as I just installed it, but it seems like a quality unit. Time will tell.If you are undecided about this EQ, I would recommend giving it a shot. The value at this price point is worthwhile.

Love the Look and Sound Quality, actually better than Expected. Only issue I don't like is the Tiny terminal for ground , power and remote wires. I use very thick wiring on my vehicle due to have such a Huge audio system. Over all I give it a 4!

I love it. This equalizer made my music go from sounding like trash to good crystal clear quality music. And i don't have a radio hooked up. I just have two ten inch toro's, 2 8 inch sealed back ds18 midranges an 2 8 inch midrange prv's a amp an this equalizerand it sounds real good
