I had my doubts but this is a really cool mask. This has a couple of modes, one is as a full breathing snorkel mask where you only use your nose to breath in; the other mode is where you can take off the removable snorkel and put a cap on it to be a regular mask. I suppose a third option is to simply add a snorkel for your mouth so you can freely breath through either your mouth or nose. Here are the best things about it and then a couple of small downsides that may or may not be a big deal to you.[ Fit & Comfort ] It comes sized correctly and fits comfortably on your face. The strap that fits around your head is adjustable on both sides and sturdy hardware to hold it in place.[ Good water seal ] Flexible soft and rubbery material and an extra bit of material on the permiter seal around your face means it has a larger sealing surface and won't leak. The top of the snorkle has a plastic check valve which will keep incidental water splashes from entering your mask and breathing out will easily push the valve open.[ Good visiability ] Nice large and clear screen. By the way the design of the nose breathing channel does not obstruct your vision, the opening to the snorkel / breathing tube is actually at the top of the mask. Is it truly fog free? Doubt it, no mask is. But in limited testing in warm water it did not fog up. Take the normal solution to this and use a bit of dishsoap diluted in water and you should be good to go for a long time.[ Functionality & Convenience ] Getting rid of the mouth snorkel is some freedom. When you pop up you can talk. If you wanted to add a mouth snorkel you can easily do so. You can certainly remove the tube on this (it comes off easily and has a rubber seal. Comes with a nice bag and drawstring. It's very compact, everything fits in this small bag.Minor flaw for me is that the stopper for the snorkel can fit over the snorkel itself (so you don't lose it, presumably) but if it's on there it's going to obstruct your vision. So it will have to stay in the bag or somewhere else where you might lose it.Overall great value and looking forward to using this!

We were heading to a snorkeling trip, so we bought the whole face mask and this one to try. I was a little worried about this product not having any real world feedback, but it seemed to fit my small face better than the whole face mask, so I decided to give it a try. Another hesitation that Ihad was the fact that I have nasal allergy, and one of my nostril is always plugged up. I wasn’t sure if breathing only through my nose was a good idea.Well, when I used it in the ocean, it totally met and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t have any trouble getting enough air through my nose, and it was truly nice to be able to talk and breath when out of the water without having to remove anything. The mask sealed well and didn’t leak. My husband tried the Will Lee face mask, and my kids used the traditional snorkel mask. I felt like mine was the best and most convenient design!!We later snorkeled in the turtle lagoon at the turtle center where the water was not nearly as clean as the ocean. It was nice that I could just keep my mouth closed without having to worry about anything getting into it was another big plus. I was recommending this mask to all my friends! This was only my second time snorkeling, and as a novice, this worked perfect.

This Greatever snorkeling mask has a unique design that I've never used before. It can work, but it has some limitations. The package comes with the mask, the detactable snorkel, a go pro camera mount, some spare parts, a small instruction manual, and a mesh bag. You'll need to put the two pieces of the snorkel together, then attach the snorkel to the mask. The mask has protective film you'll need to peel off before use. There is a silicone washer that goes around the stem of the snorkel access point at the top of the mask that helps get a good seal when you install the snorkel. There is an extra one of those silicone washers included in the bag of parts, which is nice. It's optional, but you can also attach a plastic bracket that goes on the base of the snorkel that will hold a go pro or similar action camera. It comes with a screw and screwdriver to make that connection. Alternatively, you can ditch the snorkel altogether and just use the mask by installing an included plug that goes into the snorkel post coming off the top of the mask.I have to admit, breathing with the snorkel only through your nose was weird at first. I had to actively think about not breathing through my exposed mouth that was in the water. Once you get used to it, it works fairly well. There is a float in the top of the snorkel that helps plug it up if you dive down. And while that float does indeed work, it's inevitable that you'll get water in your snorkel. When that happens, though, you have no way to blow the water out like you would with a traditional snorkel because you can't generate that amount of forced air by blowing it out of your nose. So once you get a critical amount of water in there, you'll have to stop, take the mask off, and shake out the water. The fit of the mask isn't perfect either. I ordered the large size, which is appropriate for me. I do like the adjustable straps on the sides. You can just pull the interior or outer straps while holding the two small release buttons on each side buckle to easily adjust the tension from the strap. The problem is that the plastic gasket material that makes the up the outer portion of the mask that presses against your face doesn't form the strongest amount of suction. Once in a while as I'm swimming while my face was in the water the mask would come loose and I'd have to take it off and empty out the water. In a pool it wasn't a big deal, but if you are in a lake or the ocean with waves and currents it might pop off more frequently.Overall, considering the price, this is an interesting mask and snorkel unit. If you don't like the full face-mask snorkels (which also can take an adjustment period with it's own compromises), but you are looking for something different from the traditionally cumbersome separate mask and mouth snorkel, this thing could be worth a try for the money. It's definitely not bad, I was just optimistically hoping for something a little more perfect.
