The purpose of bunkie boards is to eliminate large gaps. Mattress companies recommend for slats to be no more than 5” maximum distance to ensure the mattress is sufficiently supported and does not dip when slept on. Without seeing the wood bars, you will just assume everything is okay. Flipping our brand new mattress every 1-2 months seemed excessive, and we uncovered the reason. 11” gaps. We essentially had the same problem as our bed frame. Pointless purchase. Glad we bought a new bed frame and no longer require these. Unfortunately, they’ll be better repurposed as fire wood than handed down.

Perfect investment to keep your mattress in tip top shape. If you have a platform bed this is what you need. It adds the extra support that is recommended

Yes this says it's metal, but it's wood (you can see that in the pictures), however for me it is exactly what I wanted. This fit perfectly on my king sized slatted platform bed. It came in 2 pieces, as described and pictured and was easy to carry. It gives exactly the support I needed and I'm just upset with myself for not buying it sooner! It arrived via UPS. I love it!

We bought this because we have a king sized bed from Wayfair, that is a dupe for a West Elm style, which we love, but our only issue with the bed was that the base for the mattress is just slats with a metal bar down the middle. This wasn’t enough support for our Dreamcloud mattress, which is very heavy. The bed felt like it was sagging on the sides, and then to high in the middle where the metal bar is. We got this to even-out the support under the mattress and hopefully make everything the same height and support level. This product did just that! It’s been a total game changer. Our mattress now feels more supportive and we sleep better!

Size isn’t quite big enough for a queen bed but does the job. Def easier to move vs a box spring and lower to the ground for kids!It did arrive with some side damage from the staples put in on the box that went through to the boards. This wasn’t enough to ruin the purchase but def annoying

Bought this because I don't have support for my mattress on my wooden frame. I like that it is light in weight, and does the trick. Fits nicely for my queen-sized mattress.
