I bought this thinking it was made of 'solid' boards but it is made of wooden slats covered in fabric.....which doesn't help at all if you're buying it for a mattress that needs full support. My box unit (under the mattress) already has slats and this was just putting slats on top of slats, allowing the mattress to have a less than equal support underneath. I ended up buying a large piece of thin plywood. It solved my support issue and it was much cheaper.

Because it’s two piece I had to go out and buy 5 1x5 boards to lay the bunkie board on.The ad is poorly crafted.

I usually don't write reviews as it can negatively affect a brand or company but I had to write this one because I felt I had to make a public service announcement for anyone who wanted to buy this item. I purchased this item thinking it was a solid piece I can put on top of my bed frame. First off, it took like 2 weeks to arrive. Once it arrived, I noticed the poor build quality of the item. It is made of thin flimsy plywood pieces topped with cardboard and wrapped in thin fabric stapled to the back. After about 3-4 days of use the board started squeaking (I only weigh 175lbs so that should tell you how flimsy the top is). It started to become unbearable so after about 2 weeks, my wife and I decided to get rid of it. I would have been better off just buying one at the local mattress store then I could have at least tested it out.
