So I purchased this to replace my classic soda stream water maker. They apparently don't make the twist connector water maker anymore.While this gold and white color combination looks really classy, I wasn't able to get the same kind of carbonation like the soda stream water maker.Also after a few uses, and attempts at higher carbonation, the entire unit just kinda exploded. While the housing did not explode, the gasket inside that connects the cylinder with the unit broke. Thank goodness it didn't explode.

There's no cover for the part that you put in the cylinder . So make sure the area is dry.The fizz press is a bit filmsy... hope it does last at least a year..

This unit is nothing more than a pressurized feed of gas into cold water. There is no magic here. The product is manufactured of plastic. It feel frail especially for the purpose. Time will tell; but, I don't see this lasting long as an appliance. I would be willing to pay more for an equivalent made of metal. If you want to see before you buy, download the instructions/user manual and note how many times they state "tighten x but not too tight as you will damage the device". I am paraphrasing of course. But they literally call out multiple times that if a fitting is too tight it will cause damage.

I ordered 2 of these bottles, but It seems the black one has been used. When I opened it to try it in my soda machine, it made a sound like when you open a soda bottle.

There were only a couple reviews and only one was a verified purchase when I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I was hesitant but the price was great. It works. I'd like to purchase extra bottles and lids but no luck finding them.
