The instructions to put it together were a little confusing but I got it right eventually. It is a little heavier than my old gas one but much easier to start

This little jewel is perfect for the home owner. It works surprisingly well. I have MANY Greenworks products, and love every one of them. This little guy will dig. It's quite, of course, and you don't have to mess with gas cans. Well worth the money.

We have 11 above ground garden boxes 4x8x2 ft tall. We had been working the soil by hand but that is very time consuming and tiring. This year we purchased this electric tiller and have nothing but positive things to say about it. It is the perfect size, weight and maneuverable for our garden boxes. We also have used it in other areas like around the lilac hedge and in the rhubarb patch but it shines in the raised boxes!Highly recommended!

I bought this tiller in order to dig a 120' trench to run an electric line. It needed to carve through grassy turf and compacted soil that contains lots of small rocks. It was slow, plodding work but the tiller did amazingly well, a couple inches at a time. I had to go down 12-15", and the tiller was a champ. I used a maddock for the last 6 inches or so because I didn't need the full width of the tiller. When I till established garden areas in the spring, it should be a breeze.

Used to dig up wild Bermuda grass and other weeds from my lawn. This is my first tiller so there was learning needed. I learned that the speed at which I walked had a significant impact on the outcome. Slower was better for me because I wanted to reach the roots. The four tines worked okay but more tines would have been an improvement. I learned that swiveling the machine a few inches back and forth was an improvement.I wish the machine was heavier because it bounced up frequently. That being said, It did the work about 5 times faster that using a spade. When I bought it I was okay if I had to toss it after the job was finished. I have used it 4 or 5 days and seems to be working fine. After this season I may not need it again. For me it was worth the Amazon price because it saved me many hours of spade work. It isn't a professional tool but I knew that at the time of purchase. It did what I needed it to do so I am satisfied with the purchase.

I like that when you push the button and pull the lever, it starts operating. When you release the lever, it stops operating. I like this safety feature. For an 85 year old man, the Greenworks 8 amp, 10 inch tiller is a godsend. It's easy to operate, does a good job and you don't have to put gasoline nor oil in it and you don't have to empty the gas tank at the end of the season because it doesn't have a gas tank. It's lightweight and easy to handle. I like that it has snaps to hold the drop cord in the best position. But even with these, I wrap the drop cord over my shoulder for safety's sake. An improvement for this tiller would be to have a handle adjustment for shorter or taller operators. I also thought the price is reasonable.

I bought this for my 74 year old mother. She loves this unit, it's simple for her to use. It pulls her forward but she has the controls. She still piles her wood and wheel barrows it in for the winter. I wanted to get her an electric wheelbarrow, but she won't have it. For the first time in year she put in a garden that was well tilled. She used to do build up her own rows for gardening but this year she tried the wide row gardening method and we spent about an hour using the tiller to work the garden and it was well worth it. She loves using the unit to help till a hole for planting trees. She takes the wheels off and lowers the tiller in the hole to soften up the earth so she can dig further and wider which was a hard thing to do as she doesn't have the torque strength behind her to lift out a good shovel full, now it's a piece of cake. If there was a negative to this positive story, it would be the sizing of the "o" rings. I wish that the manual would give sizes so we know what to get at the hardware store when the wear and tear of using the tiller the O ring might break off. In our case it did, but we have to take the good O ring off on the other side of the tiller to take with us to the hardware store for sizing. Thanks gents and gals for making a good product.

Well the deficits of the manual as to how to assemble this have been mentioned in numerous reviews and that is correct, you won't get it together if you just rely on them. But it was not too hard by consulting the photos to figure out assembly. And it has worked quite well, it did the job I needed quite quickly and thoroughly. So I can't complain but OTOH I did not expect to find grease marks and fingerprints on the green control box, which indicates it was used by someone then returned and repackaged. The grease and dirt are not on the surface, so you could wipe them off they soaked into it. The accessory hardware for assembly didn't match what I was supposed to have in the booklet. One part listed as necessary was missing and it was not in fact necessary; two others are included the seem unneeded...I got enough of the right stuff but it makes me vaguely uneasy to realize I have left over hardware. That is no joke, engineers don't design unnecessary parts and manufacturers don't make or include unnecessary parts...So it seems to work really well and I could overcome the deficits but overall the impression is "sloppy work".

Well worth the money! We ripped out a 25 year old deck and wanted to put in a paver patio in it's place. That of course requires the removal of a lot of dirt and while I had initially thought about renting a tiller I realized that if I did that i would be on that timetable of having to use it quickly so as not to rack up the rental fees. Then I did some research on buying an electric tiller and started reviewing them. Good reviews on this one and the fact that I own a Greenworks electric mower pushed me in this direction. Glad I followed my research. This is a powerful little machine and while I'm using it mainly for something that's probably larger in scope than it was intended to be used on it is a champ. I love the fact that I don't have to mess with gasoline or oil and it's a perfect size for storage after use.Again, the price is great and the product delivers all it promises and then some.

Some people said that because it was electric-it wasn't powerful enough, but they are wrong! I have nothing but rocky, hard clay soil that I couldn't dig a 3 inch hole without hitting rocks. This cultivator loosened even the biggest rocks up and pushed them out of the way. A couple of times, I did hit the perfect size rocks that jammed between the blades and the top, but a hammer and removing the tines worked. The price couldn't be beat. It isn't too heavy so I was able to easily lift it up into my raised beds as well. Amazon had the best price. I paid $117.99 and Lowes sold them for $149.99, but they were out of stock locally anyway. I would even have paid $200 for this item as it saved me so much work. I love the fact that it is electric so there is no hot exhaust blowing in your face. You just have to be careful not to run over the cord. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a convenient and compact cultivator.
