I have used this item for a couple months now doing office furniture assembly and install, and it has been quite valuable. Im not a shill or getting paid to say this, but it legitimately gets more work done than the weenie orange mallets you get from the hardware store, its heftier and the surface is a little softer so you can really beat on things and make them comply without damaging surfaces. If you are beating on metal the surface WILL fail on you as its somewhat softer, but working with wood or laminates they will thank you for the forgiving face. Buy this for furniture, not for cars. But it is a fantastic tool.

If you need to send it without blasting your workpiece into smithereens, this is the tool for you. As an interior finish carpenter I install a lot of finished product that sometimes needs to be convinced to go where it needs to go and the force required to do so exceeds the fine finish of the product. You can really smack the bejeezus out of something without damaging it if you’re careful. Obviously use your best judgment when deciding whether or not to smack something with a 3 lb hammer, though.

Husband bought this for knocking ice off trailer winches (he’s a truck driver). And it broke the first time he used it. Now, he wasn’t slamming the hammer like a maniac, he knows he doesn’t want to damage the equipment. The return window has passed so we can’t get a refund (was only 30 days). If you plan on using this like it’s intended, as a hammer, consider yourself warned.

hell if I can remember, I use a lot of tools everyday, but it worked well. It's a great deadblow hammer and it's easy to spot because its neon green.
