This is the first time I've ever written a review on Amazon, but I want to counter the negative reviews so this superb sponge continues to sell. This isn't at all obvious, but I was able to get these sponges to expand by immersing them in water inside a stiff plastic bag, standing upright. You have to be patient! You can't expect these sponges to expand immediately or to expand just by taking them out of their packaging and exposing them to air. It took me around five days to get the sponges fully inflated, and I had to massage and flip them. See the two photos. So worth it! These sponges are of such excellent quality!

Arrived on time and well packaged. They are super slim. I expected it to expand when wet. They did not expand! Would not expand even when held under water and squished. I'm in my 60's and this is NOT my first sponge. It is, however, my first almost paper thin non expanding sponge. Just plain weird.

I wanted to give my BMW Z4 a good hand wash and this sponge with the gentle scrubby side worked very well. I don’t know about long term usage and how the sponges will hold up but they seem sturdy enough. Recommended!

I rated a 4 only because there are no directions on how to get the sponge to expand. I unwrapped it and left it out for days. No expansion. I soaked the sponge in water and massaged the water throughout. Only then did the sponge expand.As for the sponge itself, it is of good quality and the scrubber side is as described. It didn't scratch the area being scrubbed.

We bought these to add to our car wash collection, and they are wonderful! They don’t scratch, but they help scrub those nasty bugs off. Would definitely buy again.
