Okay, I spent an hour trying to figure out how to use this thing with the included instructions and then gave up to write this and I FINALLY understand what they are saying to do when I saw the image of the probe touching the sheet. The instructions do NOT say “touch”, they say to SNAP. So I spent an hour trying to figure out how to snap all of these things together when that is not even possible. And WHY do you also unnecessarily complicate things further with the diagram showing the use of a splitter? The splitter is not only not needed whatsoever, it is not even included with the tester. And including it in the written instructions as well? How can you expect anyone to follow the instructions to use your product when it includes a step that cannot be followed at all with what is provided? So for others who need clarification:1. Plug the grounding device in normally.2. Snap a second wire onto the front of the tester3. Put the metal circle on the back of the tester onto your grounding device.4. Take the wall side/the pin of the wire you have snapped on to the tester and touch the grounding device with the pin.If the light turns on, you are grounded. There is no need for a splitter. You only snap the second wire to the front of the tester. You do not directly connect any wires between the tester and the grounding device as the instructions say. The only connections come from touching the tester and the pin to the grounding device. In my photos, I am showing my grounding wristband that is plugged into the wall as normal when grounding, following is how to position tester on device, and touching the pin to the device and showing that it is grounded. It works as it should once you figure out how to use it. I have successfully tested a grounding wristband and two sets of grounded fitted sheets. I like how it has an on/off switch to help conserve the battery. It also comes with a little clear plastic case, but it is not big enough to hold the second wire that is necessary to use the tester. It would have been nice to at least include a shorter one that could be kept in the case.
