It is based upon the regular C-40, but has improvements designed to reduce maintenance when the saw is used in a corrosive environment, such as with salt water. A 3.5" vertical clearance, with the upper blade guide removes,allows cutting of most small and medium sized corals. This saw operates great for cutting glass however the blades are a bit too flimsy for rock cutting. I have no complaints. It's light weight and easy to assemble and operate. It's the perfect glass cutter!

This is a Gryphon AquaSaw XL. The description is a bit confusing, but it is the XL. Comes with a 42” blade, and has the 4.5-5.75 cutting clearance.
