It’s basically the Pathfinder 8” skillet minus the locking mechanism on the handle and the pathfinder logo. It weighs about 3oz more, same price. For those addicted to brands you will find fault.

8” pan for camping.Returned Ceramic Coat camp pan- Nonstick pans are fragile. Carbon steel is not and the cost is a fraction of name brand nonstick.Seasoned and NOTHING sticks to the pan.Washing simple soap and water. Can take a beating with metal fork and stainless steel utensils unlike non stick pans.Like it so much using in kitchen as daily pan as well.Handle fold beautifully and detaches easily.Love the heft and feel.Form and function and daily pleasure using this pan.

The only thing I would change is to add a stop to the handle so you can't accidentally squeeze too hard and unlock it. That's just nitpicking tho, this pan is well built, super non stick and the ONLY pan I've used to successfully flip an over easy egg without breaking the yolk. You cannot beat it for the money.

A breeze to clean. We bought for camping because handles folded down and good size for two-burner stove top. Heat up nicely.

Great pan! Heavy, so works well for car or canoe camping. It was nonstick, which allowed us to flip the bannocks no problem!

I bought this 8” pan after buying the 10” pan to see if I’d like it. After a few uses, I give it 10/10. It’s not your typical carbon steel pan.When you just touch it and look at it, you’d swear it’s hard anodized aluminum. It’s got what appears to be a flat black finish like you’d expect on quality HA aluminum cookware but it’s got the weight/heft of carbon steel. I cooked in this pan before I seasoned it (I still haven’t seasoned this pan) and it cooks and cleans up just like if hard anodized aluminum (Halulite) and carbon steel had a baby lol. I have absolutely no regrets buying this pan and it will be in use in my kitchen until I go camping again. If you want a bit more of my opinion, check out my review of the 10” version of this pan.
