Looks good, larger than expected. Not packaged adequately for shipping.Had to request a replacement because the first time I received just an empty, ripped shipping envelope. Replacement arrived quickly but was sent the same way - heavy metal, awkwardly shaped dragon fly arrived loose in a torn/punctured basic brown paper shipping envelope. Only other packaging was a super thin, flimsy, torn plastic bag which was loose in the envelop by the time I received it. I feel lucky it arrived okay this time! Looking forward to installing it tomorrow.

Beautiful piece. Only flaw is sometimes the tail does not line up perfectly with the knocking plate -- can be 1/4 inch off unless you manually align it. Looks great on my mahogany door in Florida.

The knocker makes a lovely statement ; however, due to casting will damage the door. Be because the knock plate is very narrow, the dragonfly's should be aligned perfectly, and with no wriggle room on it in order to not hit the door surface when in use. This is not the fact. The moving part is not only loosely attached to the knock plate ( I imagine for easier use), but is cast slightly off center. The net result is that 80% of the time the cast iron contact point (which is quite sharp) hits the door instead the knock plate.Conclusion: while graceful, the dragonfly eats your door.

I love this doorknocker It adds a very distinctive touch to my door and anyone who knows me well recognizes my entryway easily. I can hear it inside and it isn't difficult to use. Well worth the money for me!

For the value this was a very nice door knocker, sturdy and large. Bought it for my girlfriend and she loved it as well. Anyone who collects dragonfly decor this is a perfect addition to add to a collection.
