This is a great replacement part. Everything was same as OEM. No complaints. Been on the car for a couple of months now and no issues. ABS tone ring included in assembly

This was a great replacement for my 2005 Subaru Legacy. The spindle threads matched perfectly, and it came with a new axle nut. Installation went well and the part has held up nicely so far. I was worried about not buying an OEM axle from Subaru, but this has proven to be a solid replacement for my car.

It fit. My only mistake I did when installing it was, not making sure it was in all the way, so i had to take lots of parts off again, yes just to get to the axle and to make it go in all the way properly. Other than that, its been about half a year and no problems the the part. Good quality!

Snagged two of these and installed them along with a timing belt and water pump job. After installation I noticed lots of vibration up front and in the wheel. Checked tire balance as they had recently been replaced, they were perfect. Decided to just deal with the vibration since I need the car in the winter. It's been about 6 months now and I still have front end vibration and now my passenger side axle has failed resulting in a clunking noise at low speeds. Not even five thousand miles and this axle crapped out? How??On a possitive note, I still have a catted downpipe and the cat is right next to the axle boot. Axle boot has held up fantastic. Unfortunately again, the joint inside did not. Will be biting the bullet on OEM axles this time around.

I bought this to replace an axle from another company. It was a reman, and the company that makes the one I was replacing has an awful reputation, so I thought I'd try this. When I opened the package, I was really pleased with the look of everything... it looks solid. And it is. It feels very study and very, very well built. It certainly looks much better than what it was replacing. Then I went to install it. Things didn't go so well. The locking ring was too big. Not by much, but enough that it wasn't going anywhere. No problem, I'll just put a new one on. Cool. It popped in. Ok, now to put everything back together. Oh no. It's a little too long. I'm not sure how, but it was. It took some extra work to get things to fit, but they eventually did. I was frustrated, but just happy to have the axle in. Then I took it for a test drive. And this is where things got really, really weird. And I know people are going to argue this until the end of days, but just remember that I have nothing to gain by writing a lie in a review. This actually happened...My entire car was shaking. Violently. It was scary. And I had not even moved. I turned the car on and, within seconds, the car was shaking like the engine was off balance. I tried every scenario I could think of to get the car to stop shaking. Surely, I thought, this can't have anything to do with the new axle........... right? Since it was sitting still? Then I started researching. This is where I learned that, yes, this actually happens. Particularly in Subarus with axles that aren't too high quality. This is also where I learned that people seem to think that anyone making this claim is a patsy being paid off by Big Axle to dissuade you from buying axles or whatever other silly thing. But, long story short- lateral motion was an issue with this axle. When I put the old axle back in, the vibration stopped immediately. I put the new one back in. The car shook again. So I put the old one back in again... again. No more shaking.Harmonic vibration or an axle cursed by a witch doctor, I don't care what you want to call it. But this was an issue for me and others have reported the same thing. So be careful when buying this brand. I'm staying away for good.
