I used to break normal fly tying thread almost every fly I tied. This stuff is so strong I've only broke it once out of fifteen flies and that was more my curiousity of it's breaking point. I'll never use anything else again.

From tubes to jigs to flies, to sewing your underwear... if there is anything wrong with this thread, I haven’t found it yet. Unless you catch it hard on a hook -and often, not even then- you’ll break a bobbin from tension before you can break the thread. Most versatile thread that I’ve ever used. It really is that GOOD!

its a bit slick and hard to start on the hook, that is the only downside i have to it, but i think if i tie in some regular thread first it will work fine. it flares deer hair wonderfully, and if i start tying bass bugs i might just have to buy more of this.
