It’s a capo and it just works. The build quality seems solid, with a lightweight yet durable aluminum body and a padded grip that protects the fretboard. The spring-loaded trigger makes it easy to clamp on and remove, and it holds the strings down firmly without buzzing. I don't think it would be suitable for necks that have a higher radius but it works fine on my guitars. If you need a no-fuss capo that gets the job done, this one works just fine.

I have been doing a lot more setup and work on my guitars. One of the things I need for the process is a capo. I have a few, but they all live in my guitar cases for when I have them when I am playing gigs. So I wanted something to keep at my workshop space. This capo works great. It has a strong spring and holds the strings down well. The metal it is made with is solid and it clips well on my electrics and some of my extended neck acoustics. Some of my acoustics have a little shorter neck so the curve of the neck as it attaches to the body make any capo difficult to put on the 12th fret. But overall, this is a fantastic capo and does the job as I wanted it to! The picks are also a nice touch and the keychain holder is higher quality than I had anticipated.

I am recently retired and have begun dragging out, dusting off and playing some old stringed instruments that I have barely accessed for a lot of years. I needed a good new capo for my 12-string and six-string guitars since my old elastic ones are worn out. This is a really good capo for that. Although it could be used on a banjo, I would prefer a narrower capo for that, and got a different design for that purpose. The capo has several color options. I chose one that looks like rosewood, which I looks pretty darn cool! Highly recommend!

The low rating is due to the very misleading product description: "Designed to fit the curve of your guitar's fingerboard, eliminating buzzing while firmly pressing the strings. " It is no such thing. It is one hundred percent straight, and will only work on a flat neck. See attached picture. If the product description is changed, this will become a 5-star review. This is a flat capo, for flat necks. It will not work well on a standard guitar neck, which is radiused. If used on such a guitar, the low and high strings will buzz.If flat is what you want, this is good for the price. The same capo will cost much more at a store. The included extras are not great. I might use the picks in a cell phone repair kit, to help pry parts apart. The included pick wallet is larger than it should be, and made of PU leather, so I'll stick with the real leather one I've kept on my keychain for the past ...25 years?

This capo worked great on my electric and nylon guitars, and was good on my steel-string acoustic (it took a little moving around to find the sweet spot). However, it was a little underpowered to use on my 12-string. There was some buzz and dullness on the bottom pair of strings. The complementary picks are heavies, so not much use to me but I love the "pick-pocket," the spare pick holder, which is going right on my keychain. I used to have one and I've been missing it.It's a thoughtful gift package as long as the recipient doesn't have a 12-string, which very few people do these days. For the professional, you probably want something a little more muscular in your bag.

I'll get the bad out of the way first... The description mentions it fitting the radius of the fretboard and one of the pictures lists "specifications" and states... "Radius: Curved". Well that's a big no. It is dead flat.So with that out of the way, I used it on a Washburn A/E Bass, a D'Angelico A/E 6 string, a cheapo Rogue 200 4 string, A Schecter Omen 5 string and a Schecter Omen 6 string. I experienced no buzzing on any of them. I guess the foam/rubber struck the right balance of firmness and give to contour to a fretboard and keep the low & high strings down with sufficient pressure.Franklin i like the capo and would have given it 5 stars but the description may be an issue if used on an instrument with a more heavily radiused fretboard.

I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and it holds the pretty thick strings on my electro-acoustic quite well.I would definitely purchase again!

This is my first capo in 20 years of playing guitar (believe it or not)!I’ve been playing in more than just standard tuning lately, so thought it might be fun to try a capo for some different chords. It worked with a 6 string electric guitar and a 4 string bass guitar. The notes ring clearly and the capo stays in place while strumming hard. The pickholder and picks were nice, medium thickness. I attached the pickholder to my keyring.NOTE: the picks come inside the pickholder.
