I always thought there is a trade-off - should I get a hard case to protect my acoustic guitar or a soft case with backstraps to make it easier to carry? This unit seems to resolve that issue. It straps securely around the case, making it easier to carry and walk distances or stairs when using the straps. Now I don't have to risk exposing my guitar ding and dents when using a soft case.

This design will by necessity be one of trade-offs, since it can be used for a variety items. I have a Godin TRIC case for one of my guitars, and that one is much more comfortable and usable, but it's limited to the guitars that will fit in it. This one is a bit more awkward with a dreadnought acoustic case, but allows for me to more easily carry a variety of instruments (particularly useful to me as a multi-instrumentalist). The strap connectors have a locking tab to provide a bit of extra security to ensure the case doesn't have an unexpected drop due to the connector somehow coming loose.So it is fairly comfortable to wear while walking, I think it rides higher than my TRIC case so I do need to be mindful of doorways. Overall it seems well made, and includes a cover to keep all the straps contained when not in use.

This is a perfect solution both to securely carry your guitar in a hardshell case and not break your spine! The back pad is super ergonomic and comfortable for the back. It even has a small compartment for sheet music or an iPad). I'm still a bit reluctant to carry my heavier hardshell with this due to the material it's made of. What could drastically improve this product is finding ways it can both function as a backpack and a hardshell case strap. In other words, raising the capacity. Overall, you get a decent quality strap with nice padding, though, a bit overpriced, to be frank.

If you do a lot of busking and such, you're gonna love this. Point A to Point B can be really annoyingly far apart if you can't lug it all in one or shots. Your mixer, pedals, tripod, speakers, whatever... just not one more trip. This changes all that.This backpack system works really great. It's so convenient to have another hand free to carry more stuff without concern that I'm going to damage my guitar. Well designed... this won't fall out the bottom or anything like that as there's a bottom strap to also hold it in. (That's what I would have been most concerned about.) I love this thing!I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. I’m using it to carry my Nektar GXP 49 keyboard, which is only 31 inches long and very lightweight, and it works really well for that. My next smallest case is for a Strat and is 42 inches and heavier. That would be the absolutely largest thing I would (personally) carry in it. Anything larger, like one of my basses, or even a full size acoustic, would be too much for me. Again, for me personally - you might not have any issues, but I just don’t like anything sticking out above my head when walking. It is well constructed and looks like it will be durable. It is really convenient for the keyboard, and leaves my hands free to carry an amp and other things.
