When cleaning internal parts of firearms, it's nice to have some brushes like these to assist with cleaning parts. They are especially helpful if you have firearms like an AR15, which can be stripped down to parts that you can scrub with tools like these. The metal brushes are great for stubborn carbon deposits on metal surfaces yet won't scratch the steel of your gun parts. The nylon brush can be used on softer surfaces. The metal dental picks are useful for getting into crevices where brushes and Q-tips have a hard time reaching or just aren't enough to clean the surface, such as on the bolt of an AR15. The plastic dental pick is too soft for my purposes, but it's there if you need it. In addition to a nice bore cleaning kit, I recommend a set of cleaning brushes like this to anyone with multiple firearms that need to be cleaned. The price is very reasonable for what you get, making these a great value.

Most gun cleaning kits do not include brushes like this, but they are really needed. These brushes and picks are really good for getting into spaces that get really dirty with deposits. I disassembled an old 870 and used brushes and picks in the receiver to remove an enormous amount of fifth and now it works like new. I didn't notice any scratching or blemishes from use, but I suppose you will have to be careful with the picks. I have previously been using a toothbrush, but these brushes do a much better job and has a handy carrying case that zips up. My only complaint is that the zipper on the case is not very smooth and I do not expect it too last long. If it breaks, a rubber band around the outside will work just fine. This set would probably also be good for cleaning golf club heads.

This is a good little brush kit. We like that it has a case to keep everything together. Everything is pretty well made and will last us a while. This is absolutely something that everyone with one or more firearms should have.
