The safe is very responsive with the fingerprint sensor. The blue LED light when opening it up looks great too. I can't comment on the battery life yet as I've only had it for a few days.However, when setting the pass code, finish by hitting 'OK' instead of 'Reset'. Otherwise you'll spend a lot of time setting it up.

Will not be able to stop someone if they really really want to break into it but for me I love it. Keeps the kids away from it and still easy enough for me to access when needed

Purchased this for my husband and so far he loves it.Heavy duty materials used without it being obnoxiously heavy.The biometric finger reader works great for him- have not had any issues. Took a couple minutes to get it set up. I am very happy that it always has the option of a keyed entry and a numerical password. The safes that run on batteries always make me nervous so love the multiple options.I wouldn't say that someone could never get in this safe if they wanted to, but we are just trying to be safe with kids around and this is exactly what we needed.Very happy with this item for the price.

This safe is perfect for one small pistol. Anything more and I feel like I would have to fumble around to get them in/out.

This is a very quick and immediate review upon receipt before someone plunks down $90 for a *firearms* safe. Easily breachable. An 8 or even 6 year old could do it. The photos tell the very short story. If the shown prybar isn't enough, I have a 24" that will peel this lid open like a beer can.Otherwise, Setting combination and fingerprint is fairly straight forward. When the manual says "repeat", after the first finger print scan, scan 5 more times, waiting for the unit to register each scan correctly.This can probable be positioned more securely to prevent the method depicted in photos to being used to open it. e.g., under a card seat and secured with the cable provided. It's important not to have a lot of room to work with it.This is not really a secure safe, except to deter a curious or prying eye. Somebody who knows it's there and wants what's inside will breach it in very short order. I don't really recommend it for a firearm without considering very carefully how it will be mounted/installed.
