I found this very easy to install. For my particular application I didn't even have to cut a 45 on the downspout. Just screwed the hinge into place and presto, an easy way to flip the extension out of the way. The color is close enough, all the hardware was provided and it works.

The Gutter Downspout Extension Zipper Hinges work well and were relatively easy to install. I did not like that they are in 2 parts as it made installation a bit harder but I can see why they do that so they can be universal for any sized downspout. The metal is thin but sturdy enough for cuter material. The hinge was a bit tight but some WD-40 solved that issue. Overall decent but I would look for a gutter hinge that is one piece next time.

Not entirely thrilled with these but not sad I got them. They do work so I am satisfied overall. I have a very long drain spout in my backyard that the dogs are constantly knocking off the curved drainpipe. Every rain/snow I have to put it back on. In the summer I remove it and keep it along the house when not in use. These do make it much more pleasant to manage the drainpipe. The pipe is about ten feet, so too long to use the catch that comes with it. Right now I keep it upright with a short, cheap bungie cord. The hinges themselves are just bent sheet metal. If I thought of this idea I could have made them myself. The screws are not the standard gutter screws and I'm not sure what they are made out of. It hasn't been long enough to see if they rust yet so if they do I'll use proper drain screws.

This hinge is made of stainless steel, just cut a 45 deg angle on your downspout, screw the hinge in and you are all set. I got this for the one spout I have in the back yard, now instead of taking it off, I can simply lift it up and rest it. So much easier then pulling it off.

These are pretty good quality downspout hinges. The metal isn't very thick but it's sufficient for downspout hinges. One of the hinges was a little stiff but that can easily be corrected with some lubricating oil. Since I have a long downspout extension, I couldn't really use the retaining clip/tab used to hold it in the upright position. Instead, I attached a neodymium magnet to the extension and then installed a steel screw on the downspout for the magnet to catch on.
