Purchased these bells after I adopted a pitbull who was trained to ring the bells to go outside to potty. The bells are heavy and made of quality metal. The bells can be heard in any room of my home

Total garbage!!! The bells are NOT made of copper or brass, instead they’re made of steel, colored with some poison solution to look like copper and/or brass. Plus, the center pendulum is attached to a semi-open hoop and falls off. Don’t Buy!!

I purchased several packages of these bells to put along my gardens, trees, and shrubs because my neighbor has decided wildlife is simply unable to feed themselves. So, he leaves actual bowls of corn and fruit out for the furry folk. My lawn is populated with substantially more plants than his and these critters have brought chaos and destruction to my yard. This intellectual with TWO PhDs is convinced that the deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and any other of Snow White's pals can certainly ascertain between his offerings and my yard and plants. After a number of what I believed were soundly reasoned conversations that went unheeded, I chose to deter the wildlife in the gentlest way possible. These bells have been strung along within my gardens, flowers, shrubs, and trees. VIOLA! My plants are no longer being eaten by the wildlife. My neighbor, though? He can't imagine why his hostas and flowers are suddenly being absolutely devoured. The bonus? Sounds like Tinkerbell and her fairy posse are enjoying themselves as well.

These bells are the only thing that will keep the deer from eating my flowers and vegetables!!! Living in the country we deal with deer, raccoons and woodchucks and various other munching critters. In the past the deer have eaten every single daylily before the buds even open but with these bells strung around on fishing line they have not touched a single one while others in the yard with no bells they eat. When the deer started eating my green beans and hostas more bells got strung up and no deer eating them at all anymore. These are a lot cheaper than the electronic deer deterrents which would probably deter my cats as well which I didn't want. I have tried the soap and ammonia rags and numerous other things and nothing has ever worked before I tried the bells.

Must be attached just right or doesnt ring. Good for holding with two fingers and shaking. Seems like they are for craft use only.Tied without excess string and they will ring at the slightest touch so Ive updated my review.
