Your cart is empty.Le Primitif Galleries began working with artists in Haiti in 1976 to import the finest quality, recycled steel oil drum sculptures. Because each piece is hand-chiseled, each piece is an original work of art. The designs are chalked out on flattened steel oil drums and then cut out with a mallet and chisel. Georges Liautaud, a blacksmith, began this art form in the late 1950s. Many talented sculptors have since followed. These works grace such prestigious institutions as the Museums of Modern Art in Paris and New York. This beautiful, hand-chiseled wall hanging was crafted in Haiti from recycled steel oil drums and can be displayed inside or outside to elevate the decor around your home. This Moon measures approximately 9 x 14.5 x 0.5 Inch.

Love this crescent moon! We put it on what looks like an outhouse (it's actually an extension of the shed) just to be whimsical. Excellent piece and they have more items we are interested in.

I have a moon themed room and this is so cool. I hung it from the cieling like a mobile. It's perfect. And the fact that it came from Haiti makes it that much more dear to my heart. It's extremely stricking and if it fit's your decor, it's not even that expensive. Pick one up. You'll be supporting a nation that needs our help.
