Don't bother with the cheaper options. The Haldex one is made in the USA and high quality. Purchased this to replace a cheaper imported product that did not last.

If you have a boat trailer, or any kind of trailer for that matter, this little box can help end the wiring madness you have probably been victimized by at some point. Typically trailer manufacturers will just twist wires together and cover the connection with a plastic wire nut or just wrap it up with electrical tape. Corrosion will eventually eat its way into these lame connections and cause all kinds of intermittent trailer light problems. This box is a good solution by organizing your trailers wiring harness, plug, and even brake-battery-backup wiring inside a sealed box that contains a terminal strip to neatly terminate each wire. You will have to attach ring terminals, available at any hardware store, to each wire, but that's easy. Also I recommend using a good no-oxide grease on each terminal inside the box, and even on the trailer plug and your vehicles receptacle. Also, a little silicone sealant on the box lid and rubber grommet thru-fittings works well to really seal it up good. The whole process will take you less than an hour ... If you're like me you have better things to worry about than why your trailer lights are dim or not working at all while your on the road headed to your favorite fishing spot.
