My son wanted halloween animatronics for christmas so we grabbed this guy for the price. Arrived in a timely manner. I wouldn't say it's super scary - it's more funny. It has multiple sayings. Great family halloween decoration. Swinging feet and moving head add to the look of the charachter. It's a great size.Con: it is a bit top heavy. It took us some time to get it to sit up straight in the swing and not fall forward. If it's against something it's a little easier to stay up.

My original order came defective. I was offered a replacement that arrived timely. The replacement was intact and in working condition, it laughs, lights up and kicks its legs. Does require AA batteries.This item feels cheaply made.

I loved this thing, but quality is poor. The electronics compartment on the under side of the swing was missing a screw. I found it in the box and tried to put it back in only to find the cheap plastic was stripped and would no longer hold the screw. The other three screws looked like they were about to pop out too, as the whole assembly doesn't seem to fit properly in the swing.It is also impossible to get this guy to sit upright if you hang it like a swing. It is top heavy and will want to flip over. On mine, the ropes are glued to the bottom of the swing, so there is no adjustment to balance the doll upright. When I finally did get him to sit upright using tape and other methods, he flipped over as soon as I activated the kicking legs. More trouble than it's worth. If you're going to sit him on a chair or something, he works great, but that defeats the idea of a swing.

The sound this prop makes is ridiculous. It is of a carnival soundtrack with an annoying pitch voice and says dumb remarks, not at all spooky. Should make this a clown instead of a scarecrow even then just plain silly. I bought thinking I could control volume, you can’t, no volume knob and no way to hook up a step pad. I do like the kicking motion but the whole entire audio really screwed it up, I can’t even improvise because of audio.
