You wouldn't think they'd hold the heavier pistols hold my fully tactical 9mm with an extended mag and never flexed, just know if you want to put a 22 on it you'll have to remove the plastic slip on scratch gard from the end. All in all works extremely well with my guns from 45 to 22

The design is simple and works well.. I'd recommend better hardware than provided.

I bought these to use with my handgun, the issue is that when I screwed them in and placed my 44 mag on it the screw holes were so close to the edge the metal did not hold. But when used with my 9mm they were able to better handle the weight. The mounting surface should have been thicker.

So I can’t really say if this works for guns or not because my purpose for buying, it was for something else. I had been looking for a long time for a really good and a lot of sword holders that go on the wall and couldn’t find any of that suited my needs until I saw this and thought wow I could just put these on the wall upside down and it would hold Swords well. If you take two of them and put them a slightly apart, it will hold each side of the sword and you can hang them on your wall and they are perfect. So technically, you can use this universal for other things as well that you would want to put on your wall , or as what it’s intended. Just think all the possibilities that you could use this for and I definitely recommend this product. Specially because you get a lot of them. they’re very sturdy and it was so easy to install them on the wall.

I've purchased this product four times in the last few months. Mainly use for my .22's but also hung a few very heavy 9mm without any sag. They are coated smooth and have a firm foam stop that can be slightly adjusted or trimmed. The product comes very well packaged with screws, yellow anchors and a mounting diagram. I had one minor problem and customer service was extremely prompt and worked with me at resolving the issue. No hassles. Highly recommend.

These are great! Can economically and efficiently display small guns from .22 all the way to heavy old flintlock and percussion pistols.I make my own wood racks for long guns, but was looking at expanding a rack to hold pistols on the sides. As a novice blacksmith, I had an idea to make something almost like this using some plastidip stuff, but decided to search- sure enough these are already made and cheap enough for me to not bother putting in the time and effort! Plus, they have foam and black screws included. I just ordered an extra set to expand my capacity for another rack!Installation tip- use a thin drill bit to drill a pilot hole for the top screw and mount the top screw first to secure it. Then, once secure, do a pilot hole in the lower hole. I used a screw driver extension with a sleeve on my drill and slowly screwed it in. The sleeve rolled on the hook, not marring it, and the bit was able to get enough grip at a slight angle to get the screw in straight without hassle. Repeated 6 times- turned out as pictured.Close-up is of my big old Johnson (No, really, that’s what that flintlock pistol on the bottom left is!), showing these hooks can ummm take it. The one on the bottom right is a .69. Nice, right? I probably wouldn’t try these with an AR pistol, but short of that, based on what I’ve put on them, you should be good.
