HOW TO USE YOUR ANTIQUE PIRATE MONOCULAR TELESCOPE:
1. Pull the telescope to its longest state (the inside three sections are completely pulled out)
2. Point the objective lens to the object and look through from eyepiece. By pushing and pulling the barlow bit by bit, the image will be visible gradually.
3. After Doing Focus Adjustment, Hold steady so as to reach a sharp and Focussed Image.
NOTES:
The motion for micro-adjustment of focus must be made slowly and gently bit by bit.
Keep the scope to the original folded shape in safe when not using it.
Always Put the Telescope in the leather Case after Use.

I got this as a decorative piece of course- it does look great. It is made very solid, and really does look like it's a few hundred years old. One thing I was kind of disappointed about is that it cannot seem to focus. I looked at things from about 50ft out, to things that were about 400ft out, and no matter the distance I could not get it to focus so everything was blurry. Still makes an amazing display piece though!

This is a really cool, unique gift for someone who likes nautical themed items. It's good quality really well made. You can see through it as long as you're looking at a distant area. Anything too close is fuzzy but that's to be expected overall. Just a really nice good quality gift.
