I love this little welder. Although it only lays a bead about the width of a house key, it is great for light welding or just to practice. I also love how affordable and easy to use it is.

Good looking tool, wish the instructions were a bit more helpful. Couldn’t generate a good arc maybe due to poor grounding, again no instructions

Great product! It is perfect for what I needed to do - small fence post and angle iron jobs. Arrived fast and highly recommended!

Takes some getting used to, but once you build that muscle memory it can lay some good beads with 7018. Impressive for a handheld unit.

I wanted to have a great little welder, not only to practice with, but maybe do some repairs and secure the sides on my steel fire pit. I did not get as far as to use the welder. The welder itself appears strong and well made, but it is hard for me to check as accessory items were damaged or broken. Case closure piece was broken and I could not find a way to fix it. The closures hold a lot of presser and glue just wont do. The "helmet" is made out of plastic that looks like it clicks together on the sides, but parts of it is also broken and I did not see a way to hold it on, even if it wasn't broken. I think it is supposed to be held by hand and then weld with the other. In my opinion not ideal, especially with the things I was planning to use it on. I also feel the manual could have better information. For safety I would use my own fire rated gloves and get an acceptable blackout welding helmet. Focus is also part of safety. In the equipment's current condition I am too concerned with unforeseen accidents that can happen when using any tool to use it, will get it checked out by a more experienced person to make sure the welder doesn't have any issues as well. The case is difficult to use even if it wasn't broken, not designed well at all. A little bit bigger and better design probably would have eliminated some of my concerns. Too many red flags for me.

I was a bit skeptical about this thing when I first opened the box, ( Christmas present from family member ) as I had never really done any research on these types of stick welders. Once I got to my work shop shed and started playing around with it, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it actually worked. I had some mild stainless steel L pieces that I experimented on, and found that using a 309L 1/8th rod gave me a weld just as good as my $900.00 Miller stick welder. It does go only up to 120 amps, but for what I will use it for, ( automotive exhaust, minor body work ) it'll get the job done without breaking the bank. Time and experimenting with other electrodes will tell actually tell the tale. Gonna go see what it'll do with 7018 and 6013 rods.
