Made out of metal. Feels sturdy for "normal" use - if you really load this down there is a potential fail point - the hooks are attached to the bar with a wire connector. You can easily change the width of the bar. Changing the length of the hooks takes a little bit of patience (there are several holes and you choose the length by fitting a small spring-loaded ball, that you can't see during the adjustment, into the hole).

This hanging organizer set is incredible! I have been looking for something exactly like it to help organize the kids’ closet. The rods are easy to adjust and extendable, which is a huge plus. They seem sturdy and not too heavy, and they are really versatile to transform the builder grade wired shelf space.It totally transformed our small closet into a spacious and organized haven. I put it in my kids’ closet to hang their dresses, and the not extended 16” size is perfect for what we needed. I did extended the hanging rod lower so that even my kids can reach it and help hang their clothes. I chose the color white to match the traditional wired shelf color. Adding this organizer gave our tiny closet a personalized look and helps keep their clothes tidy and easily accessible for young kids to help with their independence. Very happy with the end result!

Very easy to put together. Easily adjustable, just a few clicks to adjust height. I only wanted a small space at the bottom so I could expand clothes at the top. This solved my issue and closet looks nester with items spaces out. Very happy it came as a two pack so I can expand in the future.

I think it’s made for children’s clothes. It does not hang low enough for an adult shirt on top.

These rods allow you to easily and quickly add additional storage space to any closet! They are simple to set up and made of metal, so they can easily hold a normal amount of weight. I love that the rods are extendable to accommodate a variety of spaces while also being able to adjust the height. These are great and efficient ways to create additional storage space while keeping things neat and tidy!

This is just what I needed! My hall closet came with a closet rod screwed in right near the ceiling and it's about a 10ft high ceiling. Not functional for hanging.I bought this closet bar extender to hook on and make use of that ceiling rod. Success! And I can still have storage shelves to the right.These arrive folded up, just press in the silver button to fold out the sides and then match the setting bilaterally. The hold and extend is much like setting up an umbrella or a walker.I could actually hang both from the top and have slightly staggering lengths and really maximize my hanging area.

It's an absolutely great solution for a kid's closet. I would hesitate to use this with adult clothing or too much weight. I love the white color to match my son's closet. It doesn't extend as wide as I had thought. You can see in one of the pictures as wide as it goes, so I put 2 side by side. I like that it has a rubber cover on the ends. I overlapped them on top so they don't move. I prefer the way this can adjust up and down versus some other ones that are difficult to move or slide down with weight. Overall I'm really happy with the end result and recommend.

This is a unique way of getting a second row on a hanging garment rack! I was expecting it to be sort of clumsy but it seems to work great for our needs. We found using the top bar for shorter items rely helps us.
