I've mounted a lot of multi pin connectors through my vehicle roof. This one seems to have the most "Internal Room" for wires. Like most connectors, you thread the "Shell" onto the wires, then solder stuff together at the business end, and then stuff the wires up into the connector body to get the shell to screw on to the contact base. And like most RIGHT angle connectors, it's a little challenge to get the wires just the right length, don't twist them too far etc. More room inside the connector body relieves a lot of that challenge. It's even simple to dismantle to check/rewire/troubleshoot, non-destructively. You can dis-assemble and re-assemble it repeatedly without stressing the solder connections.Then once it's mounted, you can easily rotate the direction that the right angle part faces as it exits the connector. Base, waterproof part stays secure. You just loosen the collar on the right angle part, rotate to the desired azimuth, then re-tighten the collar.Paints will with RustOleum aerosol.Just plain works.
