This little set is so so so cute! I think I enjoy it more than my two year old. I love the wood and the figures are adorable and well made. Would make a great gift!

I'm a huge fan of Hape, because they genuinely make toys that are great quality and open-ended. When I saw this set, I thought it would be a great way to discuss the ecosystem with my little one in a kid-friendly way, and discuss the positive and negative impacts humans can have on the environment. I try to supplement her education with additional discussions at home, and I always try to find a toy that can relate to those conversations to keep her interest. This is just such a cute set, and it's well-made and thought out. After our lesson, my daughter had free-reign to play as she pleased, and there were multiple dinosaurs and a baby panda out to sea. This could be a great toy for a specific guided conversation about the environment, and also used in a more open-ended way as well. Great size and quality for the price point. Definitely a win for us!

So fun to rescued the animals, the submarine is adorable and so fun and easy for little hands to hold and maneuver. The oil spills are fun because you can make anywhere you are the ocean! Excellent quality paint and finishing.

I've loved Hape for years for their high standards of safety and sustainability as well as just how cute the toys are. This lives up to all of that. The animals are adorable and they boat and sub are great. A good first intro to the kind of good work scientists do to help protect the plants, animals, and habitats of our world.

Nicely constructed toy but with lots of small removeable parts. Age 3 may be a little young for this due to the potential choking hazard but it would be great for kids a little older who can understand the science it promotes.
